Selma Blair is ready to take on the dance floor and compete for the mirrorball trophy amid her battle with multiple sclerosis.

The "Legally Blonde" star is set to compete in "Dancing With the Stars" Season 31 alongside partner Sasha Farber.

"I'm so excited," Blair told E! News Friday. "I'm so happy, so invigorated by this. I'm someone that historically might have a little dread for things—no dread!"

The "Hell Boy" actress said the support of her friends, family and Instagram followers was among what motivated her to join the series. They have been cheering her on as she battles multiple sclerosis. She was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease in 2018.

"This is a new chapter of growing my stamina and really healing," she said. "Not just healing, but finding strength and support."

Blair added, "It is for the viewer, because that is what's given me support. In dark times in my life, there have been people that came forward—strangers on the street or Instagram... I'm doing it for them."

She explained that she finds it important to represent people with disabilities, especially on a show like "DWTS," noting that "kindness and visibility are so important, to explore, be curious and expose people to differences of speech or movement."

Blair said she is also eager to see her competitors this season, who include Jordin Sparks and Teresa Giudice. Although it's a competition, the actress said she is "going to be cheering people so much" that she would have to remind herself to "save my energy for everything that I want to do."

Blair also shared photos and clips of her preparing for the competition with Farber via Instagram.

According to the actress, the pro dancer walked into her house and made her and her son, Arthur, dinner. She said she was so "unbelievably grateful" that she couldn't stop crying.

"I am overjoyed to be dancing with @sashfarber1 on @dancingwiththestars," she wrote.

The post received a lot of supportive messages from Blair's friends and followers. who said they would be tuning in for her.

"Love this, you stunning woman!!!" Hilary Swank commented.

"Oh my god. Now I must watch!!!!!" Guinevere van Seenus wrote.

"Congrats!! Can't wait to watch!!!" Stephani Thomas commented.

"You're going to absolutely SLAY! Team Blair!!!!!" another follower wrote.

"Dancing With the Stars" Season 31 premieres live on Disney+ Sept. 19.
