Netflix’s popular British show “Sex Education” has been renewed for Season 3. The announcement comes from the streamer on the heels of the Season 2 release earlier this year.

“Sex Education,” a show about a teenage son of a sex therapist teaming up with his high school’s resident bad girl to give out sex advice to his peers, has grown popular for its widely diverse cast and quick-witted humor. The show left off at the end of Season 2 with some major cliffhangers and fans want answers to these questions.

Will Maeve and Otis finally get together?

Season 2 of “Sex Education” ends with newcomer character, Isaac (George Robinson), possibly placing a giant hiccup in Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Otis’s (Asa Butterfield) chance at love. In the final episode, Otis finally realizes his love for Maeve and leaves her a heartfelt voicemail, only to have Isaac delete the voicemail seemingly before Maeve has a chance to hear it. Many fans were speculating via social media that it’s possible Maeve listened to the voicemail herself before Isaac deleted it, but we have to wait until Season 3 to find out.

Is Rahim OK?

In another case of love-gone-wrong, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) decides to dump his new boyfriend, Rahim (Sami Outalbali), after his on-again-off-again romance with school bully Adam Groff (Connor Swindells) is solidified by Adam professing his love for Eric at the school play. Fans were sad to see Rahim look so hurt after he realizes his boyfriend is in love with another boy, and many hope that Rahim is able to find love in the third season.

Is Otis going to have a new sibling?

One of the major plot twists in the Season 2 finale was when Otis’s mother, Jean (Gillian Anderson), finding out she’s pregnant. The father must be none other than handy-man Jakob (Mikael Persbrandt) himself. Season 3 better clarify if Jean is planning on keeping the baby because if she does that could cause some “Gossip Girl”-type tension for Ola (Patricia Allison) and Otis who used to date and would now share a sibling.

Will we see more of Ola and Adam’s friendship?

Friendly Ola and the ever-serious Adam were the friendship duo many fans never knew they needed. As “Sex Education” Season 2 wrapped up, Ola calls Adam her “friend” which causes him to give her a giant hug. The pair have great chemistry onscreen and many fans are hoping to see more of their budding friendship in Season 3.

Netflix has not yet released the official release date for “Sex Education” Season 3, but, if it follows the pattern of the last two seasons, it will likely air in January 2021.
