‘Shameless’ Season 9 Spoilers: Episode 2 Trailer, Sneak Peek Video Revealed

“Shameless” Season 9 is keeping spoilers top secret. Showtime hasn’t released an official episode synopsis for episode 2 yet, but they have released a couple videos that hint at what to expect in the next installment.

In a clip from episode 2, “Shameless” fans can see why the episode is named “Mo White.” Frank (William H. Macy) has decided to go on a tirade at The Alibi. He just got back from a congressional debate where one candidate is a black woman and the other is a gay Latinx man.

“American men used to control everything,” Frank tells the bar patrons, most of whom are older white guys. “Look at a history book. We used to be the leading men. Now, we’re marginalized. I attended a congressional debate this afternoon. You know what I experienced? Reverse racism.”

Frank’s experiences with “reverse racism” have apparently motivated him to find a candidate “who will make sure our culture doesn’t disappear.” The guys at the bar aren’t overly enthusiastic at first, but then someone mentions that Mo White could be their man. They just have to make sure he’s not dead first.

The trailer for episode 2 makes it clear that Mo White is alive and well, and Frank already has a terrible campaign slogan: “Let’s make America White again!”

Elsewhere, Debbie (Emma Kenney) will still be fighting against workplace harassment. Unfortunately, her speech doesn’t go as well as her father’s political rant. “I am a welder with a vagina, and I am here to stand up to the patriarchy,” she says before someone throws something at her face.

Lip (Jeremy Allen White), meanwhile, has someone ask him to be their sponsor. While Lip usually wants to help everyone, he doesn’t jump on board right away. “Gallaghers don’t sponsor. They get sponsored,” he explains.

Fiona (Emmy Rossum) seems to be climbing up the ladder as a property owner. She wants to look into commercial property, and despite Ford’s (Richard Flood) negative outlook, she wants to invest $50,000 with someone.

Though it seems like Fiona is using what she intended to be Ian’s (Cameron Monaghan) bail money for the building, it looks like he is still getting out of jail. The promo video shows him leaving the big house to meet a bunch of Gay Jesus supporters. He doesn’t exactly look excited, though.
