'Shazam! Fury of the Gods' Introduces A Massive Dragon In The Trailer [Watch]

"Shazam! Fury of the Gods" official trailer has been released over the weekend, featuring the title character, Shazam! (played by actor Zachary Levi) fighting with the dragons.

The two-minute, 24-second trailer opens with Shazam! admitting that he is an "idiot" while lying on a couch. The next scene shows him flying in the air and saying, "I don't deserve these powers if I'm being honest. Like, what am I even contributing?"

In the trailer shared on YouTube, Shazam! further shares his insecurities about being a superhero, alongside others like Flash (played by Ezra Miller), Batman (portrayed by Robert Pattinson) and Aquaman (played by Jason Momoa).

The clip shows how he fails to fly in the air properly and keeps smashing himself with walls, cars and buildings. "I feel like a fraud," he explained lying on the couch before saying, "It doesn't matter" as a "wizard" gave him these super powers and then everyone on his team also got superpowers.

"Now, everyone's kinda like doing their own thing and I'm the only one trying to keep it together," he added. "You understand I'm a pediatrician."

The trailer features various fight scenes including a massive dragon with wings entering a stadium. Shazam! can be seen fighting with the dragon at different locations including parking areas and streets.

"I just threw a truck at a dragon," Shazam! says at the end of the trailer. "I love my life."

Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.

"This looks great. Really enjoyed the first one. Shazam's enthusiasm and earnestness really set him and his family apart from most other superheroes, especially on the DC side," one of the fans wrote.

Another one added, "This movie looks amazing. Zach plays the character perfectly and the tone seems just right. The first movie was great and this looks even better."

"Shazam! Fury of the Gods" is slated to release in theaters this Christmas. The movie will open internationally on Dec. 15 while in North America it will release on Dec. 21. "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" is the second installment of "Shazam!" which came out in 2019.
