David F. Sandberg, the director of the highly anticipated movie "Shazam: Fury of the Gods," has jokingly said the superhero has an advantage over Black Adam. Interestingly, his verdict is based on what happened to his action figures at home.

The two fictional characters haven't appeared in the same movie yet but may crossover at some point in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), according to Screen Rant. With this possibility, people cannot help but wonder about the probable outcome in case the two finally face off.

Apparently, a fan was brave enough to ask Sandberg about it following the Oct. 16 release of the "Black Adam" trailer.

Responding to the fan's inquiry, the 40-year-old Swedish director shared a hilarious photo of his Black Adam and Shazam action figures via Instagram Stories Sunday and wrote, "My Black Adam action figure fell down the other day and broke. So in this house it's Shazam 1 Black Adam 0 at the moment."

Another fan took to Twitter on the same day to share a screenshot of the director's post. In the caption, the netizen wrote, "It seems that David F. Sandberg has a clear winner in between Shazam! and Black Adam."

"Black Adam" is slated for release on July 29, 2022. Helmed by director Jaume Collet-Serra, the movie stars Dwayne Johnson, Sarah Shahi, Pierce Brosnan, Djimon Hounsou, Quintessa Swindell, Noah Centineo and Aldis Hodge.

"Shazam! Fury of the Gods," on the other hand, is currently under post-production. It is expected to hit theaters on June 2, 2023. The movie stars Grace Fulton, Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer and Rachel Zegler.

Its first installment, "Shazam!," which was also directed by Sandberg, dropped in 2019.

It can be recalled that in 2020, another fan asked Sandberg if he would like to introduce some improvements to the movie's sequel.

In response to the said fan, the director posted an Instagram Story on which he noted that he would like to improve a lot of things. According to him, improvement is the main reason why he's "eager" to make the sequel in the first place.

"A chance to improve on things like the action sequences, things we didn't have time to get right with the suits, some of the CGI, etc," Sandberg wrote. "You learn so much on every movie that you can't wait to make another one and make use of all you've learned."

Another fan took a screenshot of the said post and shared it on Twitter for more people to see.

Besides the DCEU movie, the director also worked on "I Flip You off Four Hours," a four-hour film that premiered on YouTube in 2020.
