  • Some Shib Army think that Shibarium announcement is imminent
  • Others believe that the Shiba Inu team is working on an update to the Shiba Inu Ecosystem
  • Shibarium has no release date yet

Aside from the announced upcoming projects like ShibaSwap 2.0 and Shibarium, the Shiba Inu development team is probably secretly working on something that the community has not yet gotten wind of. However, many members of the community think that a recent tweet from a Shiba Inu developer could be hinting at the imminent announcement of Shibarium documentation.

The Shiba Inu community, more popularly known as the Shib Army, believes that better things are coming soon despite the downturn in the value of SHIB or the Shiba Inu token. On Tuesday, the SHIB Defense Team co-lead, who goes by the Twitter handle @ShibTrophias, provided a "small update" to the community through a tweet.

"V1 Design completed finalizing content has been ongoing, launch will be in phases to help with content flow," the tweet read followed by the tease, "Time is ticking." The update did not contain other details and did not mention any of the upcoming projects of the Shiba Inu team, leaving the community to speculate.

A Shib Army commented that "this is the first time a shib team member has talked about shibarium's real thing," but the developer responded, "or what if I'm talking about the entire Ecosystem itself," fueling speculations that the team might be on to something that has not yet been announced, or that the entire Shiba Inu ecosystem could be getting an update before the release of Shibarium.

On Wednesday, the Shiba Inu developer provided another update. This time, what they said, is a riddle. "It's a great day :) To help the naysayers, let's give them a little riddle, shall we? One of my favorite Linkin Park albums is Minutes To Midnight. The phrase is simple, exact timing is unknown to those who deceive. Closing time. Who will initiate the clock? Tick tock y'all," the tweet read.

A Shib Army who goes by the Twitter handle @MaximousDarwin commented that it could be about a date, probably Dec. 12, and asked if the update is imminent. "Interesting: 'The title Minutes To Midnight is derived from the idea of putting all of the time on a clock. Human life falls right on the end of the clock, and it is theorized that once the hour hand hits the 12, time will end.' So, I guess we are almost there. 12th? Dec," the Twitter user said.

Last month, Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu's pseudonymous lead developer, tweeted something that is somehow similar to what @ShibTrophias tweeted. "Initial design approved. Now I can double down. Let the debris show itself as the flow of kindness and truth washes over the world," Kusama's tweet read.

At the time, FTX just filed for bankruptcy and many CEX users were leaving the platform because of what happened. Some Shib Army interpreted that the tweet may have something to do with the launch of the new version of Shiba Inu's decentralized exchange platform (DEX), ShibaSwap.

It is worth noting that Shiba Inu has not said anything about Shibarium or ShibaSwap 2 yet. So far, the comments are just speculations from community members.

Shiba Inu was trading up 1.04% at $0.000009273 with a 24-hour volume of $88,579,894 as of 10:02 p.m. ET Thursday, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
