Shiba Inu pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has shared an update on the progress of "SHIB: The Metaverse" along with some details about "Shiba Eternity," the upcoming collectible card game.

Announced in January 2021, "SHIB: The Metaverse" has come a long way with a new developer and several industry veterans on board, all committed to creating and bringing a world-class iteration of the internet to the Shib Army.

During the recent discussion on the official "Shiba Eternity" Community Discord, Kusama dropped an update about the metaverse, with the screenshots of their comment documented by former Shiba Inu Growth member and social media influencer GossipShib.

"We have an incredible world-class team working on the MV," Kusama said, noting, "and I cannot stress how awesome it will be." The pseudonymous lead developer couldn't hide their admiration for the work of the team, saying they are "impressed weekly by the innovation and power our internal MV team and advisors bring to the table. Kudos to them all."

The "internal MV team" Kusama was referring to includes expert advisers: Marcie Jastrow, Sherri Cuono, David Kern, Shib Developers: Kaal Dhairya, Penny, Shib Creative, Innovation, Community Feedback/Broadcast Aid: Trophias, U B, Stixil and Shib Intake, Marketing, Sponsorships/Partnerships Aid: Baysed, FIRSTWORD, Milkshake.

This month, the team unveiled a couple of concept arts for "SHIB: The Metaverse" Hubs, including the WAGMI Temple and the Rocket Pond designed by the AAA studio handling the project The Third Floor. The team also launched the Fireside Chat, which will be hosted on the official Shibatoken Discord.

"The Metaverse team will broadcast Fireside Chats throughout portions of the Metaverse creative process in order to address questions, ideas, inspiration, or concerns directly from the #ShibArmy as the environments evolve," the team relayed. It also revealed the purpose for the creation of this new feature which is primarily to "understand and commit to community feedback."

"Our SHIB: The Metaverse team, will broadcast Fireside Chats throughout portions of the Metaverse creative process in order to address questions, ideas, inspiration, or concerns directly from the #ShibArmy as the environments evolve," the team shared in a recent blog post.

"SHIB: The Metaverse" is just one of the many projects of the Shiba Inu development team. As of 3:53 a.m. ET Monday, SHIB, the native token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, was trading down 3.10% at $0.00001102 with a 24-hour volume of $297,951,953, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
