  • When Siri was asked how old the president is Sunday, it gave users information about Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris instead of properly noting that Donald Trump is 74.
  • The more conspiratorially-minded jumped on the issue, speculating about big tech's agenda and the nefarious motivation behind Siri's misinformation.

Move over Donald Trump and Joe Biden, Siri thinks Kamala Harris is the real President of the U.S.

iPhone users who asked Siri how old the president is on Sunday were informed that Harris, the expected Vice-President-elect, is 56 years old. While the bug appears to have been patched, videos of the misinformation glitch quickly trended on Twitter with some of the more excitable members of the political right calling it a conspiracy.

Hours after the glitch was first noticed, Siri users on the platform are now reporting they're receiving President Trump's age when prompting the app with the same question. Though, some users reported still getting information about Harris as of Monday morning.

While computer bugs are common, the charged political atmosphere around the presidency quickly had conservatives crying foul. Some responded to the trending Twitter topic by alleging that Siri was trying to convince people that Harris was president and questioned big tech's agenda.

Apple has yet to respond to the controversy surrounding the information glitch.

Siri isn’t the only one having trouble around the election cycle. Both Siri and Instagram gave users incorrect information regarding when Election Day was, TechCrunch and Protocol reported.
