Sister Wives stars Christine Brown and Kody Brown are officially over after 25 years together, saying they have “grown apart.”

“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” Christine wrote on Tuesday. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.”

Christine, 49, also thanked her followers for understanding and used several hashtags like #changeisgood and #changeisscary. She also turned off the comment section on her post.

Christine and Kody married in March 1994 and have six children together. Despite their shared history, the couple’s official split has been brewing for some time now.

“I can’t do marriage with Kody anymore,” Christine said during a season 15 episode in April. “I don’t want to. … It’s not enough.”

A trailer for the upcoming 16th Season of the show also shows Christine, who has wanted to move back to Utah, saying she is not happy and does not feel supported in her marriage.

“Why would I want to live on the same property with a dysfunctional marriage, where right over there he’s got a fully functioning marriage?” she said. “Who would ever want to live like that?”

Kody, 52, also acknowledged their split on his Instagram.

“Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her,” Kody said. “Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.”

It is unclear if the split will be documented in the new season of the show.

Christine and Kody initially married in 1994, making her the third wife in their plural marriage after his first wife, Meri Brown, and second wife, Janelle Brown. His fourth wife, Robyn Brown, joined the family in 2010. He and Meri legally divorced in 2014 and he married Robyn to adopt her children from a previous relationship. He and Christine have always been "spiritually" married.
