They finally were able to start making plans to build on their Coyote Pass property after officially selling the final house in Las Vegas, but things still took a dramatic turn when the topic came up on “Sister Wives,”-- and Kody Brown was forced to admit his reasons for stalling on both the project and the conversation.

During the most recent episode of the TLC show, Christine shared with the family that her home in Las Vegas—the sole one remaining on the market—had finally sold, and that meant it was time for the family to start making a plan for the property they had in Flagstaff, where they intended to build four homes. However, both at that meeting, and later, when Kody, Robyn and Meri went out there on their own, the family patriarch seemed not only hesitant to make plans but also as if he had lost interest completely.

His hesitancy seemed to irk the women, with Robyn taking to Twitter to share with fans that it breaks her heart that the family hasn’t made it out to the property yet and is still living separate lives.

As Kody continued to seemingly blame Meri for the delays during the episode, referencing earlier arguments about whether or not her home would be in the trees on the property, she also took to social media to defend herself and stated that she wasn’t sure why it seemed as if they were waiting on her.

However, Kody also took to Twitter to reiterate that he wasn’t sure why it was a big deal where the houses all were anyway, since the property itself was beautiful at all angles.

He also admitted, after a fan pointed out he seemed to be a bit grumpier, that he was feeling that way this season overall, as well as cynical.

While the family still seems to have not built on the property, fans will have to wait to see how their decisions were made as more episodes continue to unfold—and show how the COVID-19 Pandemic likely also played a role in the family dynamics being off.

“Sister Wives” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
