Snake Catcher Narrowly Escapes Cobra Bite While Trying To Remove Deadly Reptile [Video]

A snake catcher in India got lucky as he managed to escape being bitten by a deadly reptile while trying to remove it.

The incident, which was caught on camera, took place in the southern state of Karnataka, and the video was shared on Twitter on Tuesday. The clip, which went viral, has been watched more than 100,000 times as of Wednesday morning.

The 37-second-long clip showed the snake catcher trying to capture the cobra that was lurking in a swampy area. The man is seen standing on a fallen tree while attempting to grab the reptile. Another man is also seen in the video assisting the snake catcher with equipment.

While trying to catch the snake, the man and his assistant both lose balance and fall from the broken tree. However, they both manage to get up, narrowly escaping being bitten by the deadly snake.

Cobras are highly venomous snakes found from southern Africa through southern Asia to the islands of Southeast Asia. Cobra bites result in thousands of deaths each year in South and Southeast Asia.

Big snake wants to have this man for dinner." In the video, the man is seen struggling to escape from the snake, but the reptile continues to tighten its grip. The clip ends abruptly when some people start moving toward the victim to save him.
