The latest isekai offering from this winter season's anime list is "So I'm a Spider, So What?" The anime revolves around the titular character named I who is reincarnated as a spider monster.

A deadly explosion rips apart a classroom in Japan, killing the children inside. Fortunately, all of them are reincarnated. However, one of the girls, I, reawaken in a dungeon as a spider monster.

"So I'm a Spider, So What?" Episode 1 sneak peek video shows I being reincarnated. After breaking out of a shell, she gets the shock of her life when she sees fellow spider monsters going about their businesses.

In the video, I observes other hungry spiders as they eat the weaker ones. She decides to leave the danger zone and that's when she comes face-to-face with mother spider.

Later, she hears a voice telling her that she has 100 skill points and has the option of spending 100 points to get the Appraisal (Level 1) skill.

I acquires the Appraisal, which is a useful cheat skill in isekai light novels. Sadly, she fails to use Appraisal as it is just a Level 1 skill.

"I, the protagonist, was just an ordinary high school girl, but suddenly I was reincarnated as a spider monster in a fantasy world. Not only that, but I awakened in a dungeon filled with vicious monsters. Armed with only my human knowledge and my overwhelming positivity, I'm forced to use spiderwebs and traps to defeat far stronger monsters just to stay alive... So begins the labyrinth survival story of a girl with incredible mental strength living as one of the lowest-ranked beasts!" Crunchyroll quotes the series' synopsis.

"So I'm a Spider, So What?" cast members include Aoi Yuki as Spider, Aimi Tanaka as Yuri, Yui Ogura as Sue, Shun Horie as Shun, Nao Tōyama as Katia, Kaito Ishikawa as Hugo, Kaya Okuno as Filimøs, Junya Enoki as Julius and Eri Kitamura as Fei.

Fans can watch Episode 1 online on Crunchyroll. The episode premieres Friday, 7:30 a.m. ET.
