Kim Taehyung, more commonly known as BTS' V, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. He is the fifth member of the boy band to contract the virus following Suga, RM, Jin and Jimin.

Big Hit Music, BTS' label, said the "Butter" singer experienced mild sore throat on Tuesday and later tested positive for the virus the same day.

"V completed two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations and is not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat. He is currently undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities," Bit Hit Music said in a statement.

While V met with the other members of the famous septet on Saturday, "everyone was wearing a mask, and there was no close contact," the music label confirmed. "None of the BTS members other than V are presenting any symptoms, and everyone received negative results from the pre-emptive self-tests."

The so-called "sold out king" "is undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities," the statement added.

Supporters of the group, known as ARMY, wished him a speedy recovery, with the topics "#GetWellSoonTaehyung" and "#BTSV" trending on Twitter.

"Bringing this back. Moment that filled with Purple love (sic). This will last forever as purple , like how We love you Taehyung," a user said.

"Because my baby is not feeling well, I'm in the mood for extra soft Tae Tae. I hope you are getting well rested & feeling better soon. We love you, Tae Bear," another fan wrote.

Broadway star and "Pretty Little Liars" reboot cast member Lea Salonga sent a simple heartwarming message for her favorite BTS member. "Get well soon, Taehyung!!!" she wrote.

The K-pop superstars are on an extended break following their highly successful concerts in Los Angeles last year. They are set to reunite onstage in March for the "Permission To Dance – Seoul" concert.

Meanwhile, J-Hope revealed that Jimin has already recovered from COVID-19 and from his recent surgery for appendicitis.

"Jimin is very healthy," the 27-year-old "Chicken Noodle Soup" rapper said in his Instagram Story on Tuesday.
