Aside from this, Sony fans are also anticipating the announcement of the release date of some of the highly awaited titles scheduled to arrive this year. Finally, Sony confirms the release dates of “The Last of Us Part 2” and “Ghost of Tsushima.”

A few days ago, a massive set of leaks about “The Last of Us Part 2” surfaced online. This made a lot of fans and gamers upset. Some leakers even shared online full cutscenes of the highly awaited sequel of the successful game. These leaks, while hyping the game, also give away some significant surprises that game developers and publishers have for gamers.

It is possible that the recent “The Last of Us Part 2” leak put more pressure on Sony and made them announce the release date of the game. Just recently, Sony released a blog post announcing the release date of “The Last Of Us part 2” and the “Ghost of Tsushima.” The post was made by Sony’s Head of Worldwide Studios Hermen Hulst.

According to Hulst, “The Last Of Us Part 2” will be released on Jun. 19, 2020. The Sony executive also confirmed the release date of “Ghost of Tsushima,” which would be on Jul. 17, 2020. Originally, Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us Part 2” was scheduled to arrive on Feb. 21, 2020. Sucker Punch’s “Ghost of Tsushima,” meanwhile was originally slated to arrive on Jun. 26, 2020.

“The Last of Us Part 2” is the sequel to the adventure of Joel and Ellie. The highly anticipated title was in production since 2014. Meanwhile, the “Ghost of Tsushima” is an open world action game set in feudal Japan where players will assume the character of a samurai. Both games are releasing on the PlayStation 4 gaming console and are anticipated to become major blockbusters before the release of the PS5.

In other PS5 news, fans are still waiting for Sony Interactive Entertainment to fully reveal the PS5 gaming console. So far, the Japanese gaming giant has not yet offered any hint as to when the full unveiling would take place.
