Uncharted 4 Trailer Gameplay Footage A Thief's End
Sony revealed "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" on Monday at E3. The title won't be coming to PS3, instead it will be released exclusively on PS4. Naughty Dogs

Among several big-title announcements at the E3 gaming conference, Sony (NYSE:SNE) said its next “Uncharted” game will once again feature protagonist Nathan Drake, but he may not survive this edition, exclusive to the company’s PlayStation 4 console. In the trailer for “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End,” Nathan Drake wanders bruised and battered through the jungle, rendered in a resolution higher than ever before.

“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” will feature the most advanced graphics for the franchise yet, but many gamers are disappointed that the title is shipping exclusively on the PS4 and won't be ported to PS3. Developer Naughty Dogs confirmed in November that “Uncharted 4” wouldn't be coming to PS3.

Sony prefaced the “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” trailer with a notification that all of the footage in it was “captured directly from a PlayStation 4.” It didn't clarify whether the images were gameplay footage or in-game cinematics, but the footage is certainly the latter.

Drake’s death in “Uncharted 4” is foreshadowed, with several characters mentioning the undertaking of a job “one last time,” although the heavy tone could mean developers aim to fool players. Drake is voiced by actor Nolan North, a video game veteran who will also appear in the upcoming title “Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor,” based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” universe.
