Sophie, Countess of Wessex looked gorgeous and elegant on her recent outing following reports that she got into a car crash earlier that day.

On Thursday, Prince Edward’s wife stepped out in a patterned blue tea dress that fell below her knees. In the photos shared by Daily Mail, the royal complemented her outfit with a pair of stylish nude towering heels. She accessorized her get-up with dangling earrings.

The Countess of Wessex showed up to support the blindness prevention charity Orbis UK as it marked the launch of the See My Future Appeal. She has been an active advocate for vision loss mainly because her 15-year-old daughter Lady Louise Windsor was born with a severe squint that affected her vision.

Sophie’s appearance came just hours after Gill Walker, 59, revealed that she was locked in a legal fight over a repair bill of several hundred pounds after her car was hit by a police driver chauffeuring a royal, whom she believed was Sophie.

According to Walker, she pulled over to swap insurance details but the other vehicle failed to stop. She added that the police were denying liability from the accident. A West Midlands Police spokesman told her that the vehicle was not allowed to stop because there was a “royal on board.“

She asked them who the royal passenger was, but they didn’t provide her the name. Instead, they just took pictures of her car and told her that it was a police matter.

“The police are saying it's all my fault. But the dashcam footage shows I've clearly got into the lane and they have hit me,” Walker said.

“It's like they've put all the blame on me and they've got solicitors involved,” she continued, adding that her case is “going to court because the police don’t want to know.”

In related news, it looks like Sophie really likes blue dresses. The Countess of Wessex also looked elegant in another blue dress when she joined Prince Edward for a meeting with Ireland President Michael D. Higgins and his wife, Sabine.

For the said outing, Sophie matched her outfit with a bracelet, diamond earrings and beige shoes. She also accessorized with a small gray handbag. Meanwhile, Prince Edward was dashing and smart in his red tie.
