'Spider-Man: Miles Morales' Guide: How To Fast Travel

"Spider-Man: Miles Morales" has a fast travel system just like its predecessor and it works the same way. Unfortunately, it is not available right at the start of the game and players have to complete several missions before getting access to this interesting feature. Here are some tips and tricks on how to unlock fast travel in the game.

In "Spider-Man: Miles Morales," fast travel unlocks after completing the Harlem Train Out of Service mission. It is the sixth mission and it is available only after playing game missions for a couple of hours. This is the mission where Miles meets his uncle Aaron Davis and helps him deal with a subway issue.

After resolving the problem, Uncle Aaron offers Miles a subway pass that he can use to explore the city. Players could use this pass to fast travel to any subway station or to Miles' apartment by simply holding the X button while scanning the locations on the map. This particular feature is free and could be a great test to the lightning-fast Solid State Drive (SSD) of Sony’s PS5.

Additionally, this mission unlocks the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man app. The first person to place a request is Uncle Aaron, then other requests would start coming in after Miles completes the Harlem Train Out Of Service. These are only side quests, but they also offer a great chance to earn tech parts, ability tokens and even special rewards. With fast travel capability, Miles could move around the map more freely.

Moreover, when players fast travel, a small cutscene runs, showing Miles traveling by subway. It is also worth noting that even when Miles is fast traveling, there are no loading screens, which is very impressive. Some players, however, refrain from using this feature because they prefer walking around New York as Spider-Man. Others do not use the fast travel feature because they want to earn XP from web-slinging.

"Spider-Man: Miles Morales" Ultimate Edition on PS5 comes with the game and the "Spider-Man: Remastered." The game is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PS5 gaming consoles.
