Actress Kirsten Dunst, who played Mary Jane Watson aka MJ in 2002's "Spider-Man" starring Tobey Maguire, revealed that she wants to return to the Marvel movies via multiverse.

"You know I’d join that multiverse! I feel like I’m the only one that hasn’t joined it," the 39-year-old actress told Backstage Magazine on Thursday. "I’m like, ‘Please put me in. Put me in the lineup.’"

"I need to pay for my house and kids," Dunst jokingly added.

Dunst also reprised her role as MJ in the second and third installments of "Spider-Man" dropped in 2004 and 2007, respectively.

Dunst’s co-star Maguire recently reprised his role in Tom Holland's "Spider-Man: No Way Home," released in December last year. Maguire was introduced in Holland's movie through the concept of the multiverse where characters joined the same timeline from an alternative universe.

A similar concept will be seen in Marvel's upcoming movie, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," which is scheduled for May 6 release. The movie has endless possibilities to introduce old characters once again in the new timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Following the success of "Spider-Man," the actress appeared in various projects including "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Marie Antoinette," "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People," "The Beguiled" and "Woodshock."

She was recently seen in the movie, "The Power of the Dog" starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Thomasin McKenzie and Frances Conroy.

Dunst will be next seen in the movie, "Civil War," which is currently under pre-production. The movie will also star Stephen McKinley Henderson, Wagner Moura and Cailee Spaeny.

Considering Marvel's upcoming movies, fans will get to see "Thor: Love & Thunder" starring Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi. The flick is set to come out on July 8, 2022.

Fans will also witness one of the most emotional sequels to another Marvel mega hit, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," considering Chadwick Boseman's untimely death to cancer. The movie is slated to drop on Nov. 11 and Guyanese actress Letitia Weight is expected to take the lead.

"The Marvels," "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" and "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania" are expected to drop next year. In case you have missed to list of Marvel movies releasing in 2023, see here.
