The next trailer of “Star Wars: Episode 9” is expected to be released during “Monday Night Football” in October. However, this doesn’t mean that the fans will not get to see anything in the upcoming D23 event. A video will be featured at the Disney event, and it may be a behind-the-scenes reel about the making of the film.

The promotion of the upcoming JJ Abrams film at the D23 event has been confirmed. However, the video that will be shown there is expected to be more about the scope of the film rather than the second trailer, Screen Rant reported.

Disney has used the same strategy for the two previous films in the sequel trilogy. The behind-the-scenes video at D23 will reveal the massive production sets, costumes, and some of the characters in the film.

The fans who are going to the D23 may not be disappointed because the behind-the-scenes video may contain some new footage from “Star Wars: Episode 9.” The producers have already confirmed the presence of Sith Troopers in the film, and the fans may now get to see these soldiers in action in the video that will be released.

It remains to be seen if the fans will get to see a teaser of the Emperor (Ian McDiarmid). With the old villain back, there is a lot of speculation that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will switch sides and fight alongside the good guys towards the end of the film, Screen Rant reported.

Rey (Daisy Ridley) will continue to be the main hero of the film, and the expectation is that she and Kylo Ren will have to join forces to take on Palpatine, Screen Rant reported. It remains to be seen if the next trailer will tease this possibility.

“Star Wars: Episode 9” will be released on Dec. 20.
