Steve Blake's wife, Kristen, was bombarded with nasty messages on Twitter on Thursday morning after her husband missed a potentially game-winning three-pointer.

Blake missed the three-pointer at the end of the Lakers' 77-75 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder and the response on Twitter was immediately hateful toward the Lakers point guard and his family.

One person, under the Twitter account @jamesallonyou, tweeted at Blake I just don't get it, You b---- n----. I hope your family gets murdered. F---

Kristen Blake responded by blocking more than 500 people on Twitter and reverting back to her religion for support. She referenced two Bible verses as sources of support and tweeted, I am deeply grateful & humbled by the outpouring of love, support & most of all prayers for our family in light of recent events - THANK YOU!

Even with some coming out in support of his wife, the Lakers point guard was still upset about the way people threatened his family.

It's pretty disappointing that there are a lot of hateful people out there, but you move on, Blake said. I just don't appreciate it when it's toward my family. You can come at me all you want but when you say things about my wife and my kids, that makes me upset.

It is the unfortunate side of pro sports. Everyone is criticizing and sometimes people cross the line. But, you got to move past it and be the positive person and I think that's the approach my wife and I are trying to take with it.

Blake will get his opportunity to silence his detractors on Friday night when the Lakers take on the Thunder in Game 3.

In anticipation of Game 3, here are a few pictures of Steve Blake's wife, Kristen.
