“Stitchers” Season 3 will premiere on Freeform sometime this summer.

On the show’s official Twitter account, one fan asked when the Emma Ishta-starrer will return to the network. A few minutes later, a poster featuring Kirsten (Ishta) was released online, confirming that the series is “coming this summer.” However, the exact air date for the series hasn’t been announced yet by the network.

In October, Freeform confirmed that a third installment was being discussed for “Stitchers.” However, viewers of the TV show had to wait for five months before learning whether or not the third season was a go.

“Stitchers” Season 2 ended with episode 10 on May 24, 2016. In “All In,” Kirsten found out a shocking family secret that forced her to head down a dark and dangerous path into her memories. However, things didn’t go as planned, and Kirsten was left lying on the table, seemingly lifeless. Cameron (Kyle Harris) tried to talk to Kirsten out of her stitch by telling her that he cannot lose her. The lead character will definitely survive and return to the series in Season 3, but the Season 2 finale still left fans with a major cliffhanger.

Meanwhile, the production for “Stitchers” Season 3 was also pushed back, thus affecting the schedule of the series for Seasons 2 and 3, to accommodate Ishta’s pregnancy.

The actress gave birth to a healthy baby in June of last year. Four weeks after giving birth, the actress shared a photo of the infant while breastfeeding. Ishta accompanied the post with a lengthy caption about the struggles of first-time mothers. The actress went on to ask her fans to donate $1 for a charity aiming to help women in need and educate them about the importance of breastfeeding.
