Less than one hour after South Korean pop singer IU revealed the cover art for her new single, “8,” it began trending on Twitter.

The art shows a woman’s hand — presumably IU’s — clutching her other hand in one frame and resting on a mattress in the other. The 26-year-old singer posted the art on her Instagram story Monday, and fans immediately spotted the small print that read, “Prod. & Feat. SUGA of BTS,” indicating the single is produced and will be featuring another K-pop favorite, Suga of BTS fame.

K-pop fans became ecstatic on Twitter at the reveal, calling it a “sexy” collaboration and the “hottest phrase ever spoken.”

The reveal comes only days after Billboard reported Saturday that Suga confirmed BTS was already working on their next album.

“We’re already working on a new album again,” he said. “Before we started, we decided who was in charge of what. Who would oversee everything, who would oversee the visuals, who would oversee the music — we split that up. We discussed it amongst ourselves and made the decision.”

If that news wasn’t already enough for the BTS Army (as BTS fans are called) the fanbase is now losing their minds on Twitter at the latest single with IU that is reported to drop May 6, according to the Korean site Korea JoongAng Daily.

Each artist has a large following respectively and the collaboration has fans excited to see how the two artists’ voices will blend together.

Others are so beside themselves that they cannot stop repeating the title shown in the cover art.

BTS’s latest album, “Map of the Soul: 7” was released Feb. 21 and the band has continued to break records ever since, according to Forbes. Their combined sales from albums and singles have earned them the title of top-selling artists of the year so far, and fans are clearly eager to hear more music.
