Kevin Sorbo dished a few details about his mystery villain role in Season 2 of “Supergirl.”

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday, Sorbo revealed that he will be on the set of the CW series starting next week to film his debut episode. “I leave next week!” said the 58-year-old actor, who rose to prominence for playing the title role in the TV franchise “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.” “I’m heading up to Vancouver, and I’ll be doing a three-show arc, and Teri Hatcher’s playing my wife.”

When asked to share more information about his role, Sorbo teased: “I’m from another planet that is an arch-rival planet of Krypton, which is now of course destroyed.”

Since the show hasn’t completely tackled Mon-El’s (Chris Wood) backstory, it’s likely that the planet where Sorbo and Hatcher’s roles hail from is Mon-El’s home planet, Daxam. And since “Supergirl” is basically a family drama masquerading as an action-adventure series, it won’t be surprising if Sorbo and Hatcher’s characters turn out to be Mon-El’s parents. If the fan theory proposing that Mon-El is actually the Prince of Daxam turns out to be true, then that would make Sorbo and Hatcher the King and Queen of Daxam.

According to Supergirl.TV, Sorbo and Hatcher are set to make their “Supergirl” debut in Season 2, episode 17, which is the first episode after the show’s musical crossover with “The Flash.” As previously reported, Kevin Smith will be directing episode 17.

An all-new episode of “Supergirl” airs on Monday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis and trailer for Season 2, episode 12, titled “Luthors,” below:

“After Metallo (Frederick Schmidt) breaks out of prison and frees Lillian Luthor (Brenda Strong), the police blame Lena (Katie McGrath) for his escape and arrest her. Despite overwhelming evidence, Kara (Melissa Benoist) refuses to believe her friend is guilty and fights to clear Lena’s name. Flashbacks reveal how Lena came to be a Luthor. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) introduces Maggie (Floriana Lima) to the gang.”
