Livewire (Brit Morgan) and Metallo (Frederick Schmidt) are having a rematch with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) next year. According to TVLine, both villains are set to return in Season 2 of “Supergirl” to wreak havoc in National City and take down the Girl of Steel once and for all.

Livewire made her debut appearance in Season 1, episode 4 of the series. Livewire, a.k.a. Leslie Willis, was once National City’s most prominent shock jock, working in the basement of CatCo Worldwide Media. Cat (Calista Flockhart), however, canceled Leslie’s show and had her transferred to the traffic chopper after she refused to stop ranting against Supergirl. Leslie turned into the electric-powered villainess Livewire when a lightning struck the chopper she’s in during her first night as a traffic reporter.

Livewire attempted to use her new powers to kill Cat, but Supergirl defeated her in a fight and she was later taken into custody by the DEO. Livewire reappeared in episode 18 of the season, where she teamed up with Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) to fight Supergirl and The Flash (Grant Gustin).

Meanwhile, Metallo — a.k.a. John Corben — was an international assassin-for-hire who was introduced in the Season 2 premiere of the series. He was hired by Lex Luthor to kill his adoptive sister Lena (Katie McGrath), but in doing so, he was nearly fatally shot. Corben was then saved by Cadmus which transformed him into kryptonite-powered baddie Metallo.

In addition to Livewire and Metallo, other “fan-favorite” villains will return to the show later in the current season. Executive producer Ali Adler, however, told TVLine that it’s too early to make any additional announcements.

“Supergirl” is currently on its midseason hiatus. Its next episode (Season 2, episode 9), titled “Supergirl Lives,” airs on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Watch the trailer below:
