Some members of CW’s DC TV universe family paid tribute to pop star George Michael who passed away on Dec. 25.

In a couple of tweets, Greg Berlanti — executive producer for “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow” — called Michael a “true genius” and shared his experience working with the two-time Grammy-winning artist on his previous ABC series “Eli Stone.”

Michael guest-starred in the Season 1 finale of “Eli Stone” as God. In the episode of the legal dramedy series, Eli (Jonny Lee Miller) took a case involving a man’s right to die. The case was intertwined with the aftermath of Eli’s surgery to remove his brain aneurysm, which forced Nathan (Matt Letscher) to decide whether or not to remove Eli from life support. Eli apparently came face to face with God who bears an uncanny resemblance to Michael.

The singer covered the song “Feeling Good” for the season finale. Watch Michael’s appearance on the show in the video below:

Meanwhile, Mehcad Brooks — who plays James Olsen, a.k.a. Guardian, on “Supergirl” — expressed his grief over Michael’s “heartbreaking” death on Instagram. In the caption for a photo of the English singer-songwriter, Brooks revealed that Michael will always be one of his heroes.

John Barrowman also reacted to Michael’s passing. In a tweet, Barrowman — who portrays Malcolm Merlyn on “Legends of Tomorrow” — revealed two of his favorite songs recorded by the late artist.

According to his longtime manager Michael Lippman, the singer died of heart failure. He was 53. “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period,” his rep previously said in a statement to BBC. “The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.”
