supernatural season 10 spoilers
Dean (Jensen Ackles) may have to overcome another demonic hurdle in Season 10 of "Supernatural." CW

Come out, come out, wherever you are! Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) demon side may be dormant for now during Season 10 of “Supernatural,” but according to the show’s executive producer, Jeremy Carver, the eldest Winchester brother’s black eyes won’t stay hidden forever.

During episode 3, “Soul Survivor,” Sam (Jared Padalecki) managed to temporarily cure his brother -- with a little help from Castiel (Misha Collins) -- when he injected sanctified blood into Dean’s bloodstream.

After Dean was allegedly saved, Cas informed the ghost-hunting duo that they weren’t out of the woods just yet. Dean still has the Mark of Cain on him (a source of power from The First Blade that provides the bearer of the Mark with strength and other abilities), which teased that viewers may see a reprisal of Dean as a big bad demon after all. (Remember, those who have the Mark will turn into a Knight of Hell if they receive a fatal, mortal wound.)

Carver confirmed the theory when he told TVLine that fans are going to get to watch Dean deal with his demon nature “for the next chunk of the season.” But the brothers will be handling Dean’s dark alter ego in very different ways.

“While we’re all very happy he was cured of being a demon, there’s a lot more work to be done,” Carver said, adding that the haunting mark could lead Dean down a very emotional path. Just so long as it's not down the road leading to Sam’s demise ... We're still not over Dean trying to kill him!
