  • "Supernatural" Season 15 finale won't air in May
  • The production has be stopped because of the corornavirus
  • A return date will be announced after filming resumes

“Supernatural” Season 15 finale episode was originally supposed to air in May, but that will no longer happen. The coronavirus lockdown forced the cast and crew to shut down production, and the team still has to finish filming before the show can return.

The March 23 episode titled “Destiny’s Child” was the last fans saw of the show. Executive producer Andrew Dabb announced on Twitter at that time that there won’t be another episode of the show airing for a while because the pandemic forced them to shut down production.

Filming until episode 18 has been completed, but there is still some postproduction work left to complete these videos. Since the visual effects and the sound department aren’t working because of the lockdown, there is no way for the team to complete the episodes and release them to the fans.

Cast member Misha Collins, who plays the role of Castiel on the show, previously shared a picture of all the lead cast members when they filmed the last episode. The photo shows the actors leaning against a car and smiling at the camera.

Since filming of “Supernatural” Season 15 has stopped, Collins has been using his time productively at home. He is using the lockdown to spend more time with his daughter Maison. He recently shared a set of videos that show his daughter giving him a haircut.

“Parenting tip: to establish trust, give your children sharp instruments and full control over your appearance,” Collins wrote in the post. The video shows the actor nervously sitting in the chair and worrying about his daughter stabbing him in the skull, while his daughter works diligently without answering her father.

While the fans have to wait to see the actors back as their characters on the show, the producers have been striving to engage with the fans by bringing them interesting content. Entertainment Weekly previously released a set of behind-the-scenes pictures from the production set. The producers and the cast members also shared their insights about the show and how they carefully planned the ending.

Details about “Supernatural” Season 15 return date should be announced after the filming resumes.
