NASA has detected the largest and possibly most dangerous asteroid that will approach Earth in November. If this asteroid collides with the planet, it could destroy an entire major city or generate massive tsunamis.

A scientist warned that a major asteroid impact in the Atlantic Ocean would result in very high death tolls. The scientist also described what would happen to the coastal regions if a massive asteroid breaches Earth’s atmosphere and hits the ocean.

Rescuers in Japan worked around the clock Tuesday in an increasingly desperate search for survivors of a powerful weekend typhoon that killed more than 70 people and caused widespread destruction.Hagibis slammed into Japan on Saturday, unleashing fierce winds and unprecedented rain that triggered landslides and caused dozens of rivers to burst their banks.By late Tuesday, public broadcaster NHK put the toll at 74, with around a dozen people missing. The government's tally was lower, but it said it was still updating information.

Human beings are no match against Mother Nature when she decides to vent her wrath as in Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005 or the tsunami that struck Japan in March of 2011. The only “defense” against these events is to get out of their way by leaving the area or seeking higher ground to evade floodwaters.
