Tara Reid was removed from a flight to New York City after causing a "disturbance" prior to takeoff, media reports said. The incident took place as the actress boarded the Delta Air Lines plane and reportedly took her seat.

According to TMZ, Reid realized her assigned seat was not a window sear as she had thought. She then complained about not having a pillow and feeling cramped as the person in the seat in front of her was reclined. As flight attendants tried to resolve the issue, she continued to loudly complain.

As the argument heated up, the pilot announced he was turning the plane around — which had already pushed back from the gate — due to a customer service issue.

A crew member eventually asked her and her dog to leave the plane once the pilot returned to the gate.

A representative for Delta told Fox News that “Delta flight 613 from Los Angeles to New York JFK-International returned to the gate, prior to takeoff, due to a customer disturbance on board.”

“Delta apologises to the remaining customers for the inconvenience and appreciates their patience as the situation was resolved,” the representative continued, noting “the flight redeparted for New York following a short delay.”

Following the incident, Reid took a later flight from Los Angeles to New York.

In a video obtained by TMZ, a flight attendant was seen talking to a woman identified as Reid. The attendant told her he’d gather all of her belongings and meet her “right out here with the captain.”

The "Sharknado" star has not released a statement or commented regarding the incident. However, she received support from former reality star Linda Hogan, ex-wife of Hulk Hogan. She slammed Delta and accused its “b----- jealous overworked nasty flight attendants” of punishing Reid for being “white and privileged.”

In August, the Reid sparked some concern after appearing in a bizarre interview, where she appeared to be slurring her words.

Appearing on Channel Nine's Today Extra, the 42-year-old actress was introduced by host Deborah Knight as "the American sweetheart who quickly became one of Hollywood's biggest party girls." The star appeared rather tired and distracted while promoting her upcoming film "Sharknado 6." She seemed to have trouble expressing herself.

Days later, Reid released a statement addressing concerns over her health following the interview.

“I’d like to thank my fans from the depths of my soul for their continued support, which has made this Sharknado my most successful one yet,” she wrote. “We worked harder than ever on this film and also the promotion of the film.”

Addressing the buzz about her slurring, Reid continued: “While it’s unfortunate to see some of the recent negative press following a successful week of promoting and supporting the film, I’m happy to know that my fans continue to stand by me — this is for them!”
