“Teen Mom OG” was created to show the realities of being a young parent, but it appears the MTV docuseries may not be as realistic as advertised.

During the most recent episode of “Teen Mom OG,” newcomer Dakota Meyer slammed the actions of his ex-wife Bristol Palin on the show. During the installment, the former pair tried to work out their co-parenting issues, something Dakota said isn’t a problem.

“The girls are fine, the girls are happy,” Dakota said, as reported by Radar Online. “The schedules are the same, it’s week on, week off. What do we want to sit down and talk about?”

When Bristol said there was “a lot of hurt and pettiness” on both of their behalfs after trashing one another on social media, he didn’t agree. “Pick up the phone or text me when theirs not cameras around. Show me you’re going to have genuine intentions and it ain’t just for the show to start some drama,” he said.

Dakota later told a producer he felt his ex was “more worried about the public opinion” than being a parent. “That’s what the show has done to her. She’s more focused on the show and her image than she is about what’s in the best interest of the kids. This is the pettiness I have to look forward to forever,” he added.

This isn’t the first time the show has been accused of fakery. In 2016, star Maci Bookout’s then-boyfriend (now husband) Taylor McKinney spoke out about an episode which showed them discussing marriage plans.

After the show aired a scene showing Maci asking Taylor when he was going to make her an “honest woman,” Taylor said the question didn’t go down as it appeared to on the show. “Maci doesn’t put the pressure on like the scene showed,” he wrote at the time. “Don’t get it twisted. It’s a show.”

That same season, fellow star Tyler Baltierra slammed the series for allegedly stirring up drama before his bachelor party. “I know the show made it look like she was very hesitant and didn’t want it to happen,” Tyler told fans when asked about his love Catelynn Baltierra’s reaction to his party plans. “... [The producer] in my opinion trying to get a little bit of a rise out of her and make her get a little upset about it.”
