  • "Those Snow White Notes" Episode 7 is scheduled to air Friday

Sawamura Setsu finally finds his sound and starts a new journey with his shamisen club. With "Those Snow White Notes" Episode 7, the anime is entering a new arc as Setsu and his club members become more confident about their skills as shamisen players.

After his heart-to-heart dialogue with his brother, Sawamura Wakana, Setsu learns how he can find his sound. Moreover, he decides to enter the individual competition.

"Those Snow White Notes" Episode 7 is expected to showcase the club’s practice sessions when they head back to Tokyo after the training camp in Aomori.

In the previous episode, Hiroshi Odawara, who is the owner of a traditional Japanese instrument shop, takes Setsu, Yui Yamazoto, Shuri Maeda, Kaito Yaguchi and Rai Nagamori to a training camp. The club practices but Maeda seems to be missing a few phrases of the song. Moreover, she is unable to keep up with her fellow players.

However, toward the end of the episode, Setsu’s solo performance lights the fire inside Maeda and she gives her all during the final performance of the training camp. Apart from Setsu discovering his sound, Maeda has changed as a musician and plays the shamisen with conviction.

"Sawamura Matsugorou is a shamisen player of legendary talent. Upon his death, his grandson, Sawamura Setsu, lost his ability to play. Having lost his beloved sound, Setsu finds himself in Tokyo in search of a new sound to love. Tachiki Yuna, who works at a club, hooks him up with a gig to play there as a warm up act. Setsu imbues the sound of his shamisen with his many thoughts and feelings he has of others, still searching for his own sound and his own feelings," the series synopsis reads as per Crunchyroll.

The cast of the anime includes Nobunaga Shimazaki as Setsu Sawamura, Kyouya Kimura as Hiroshi Otawara, Fukushi Ochiai as Ushio Arakawa, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kaito Yaguchi, Rikako Aida as Yuna Tachiki, Reina Kondo as Yui Yamazoto, Yuuki Koji as Takaomi Kaji, Yuna Taniguchi as Sakura Yamano, Yume Miyamoto as Shuri Maeda, Yuichiro Umehara as Seiryu Kamiki, Tomoya Takayanagi as Keiko Koyabu, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Wakan Sawamura, Tetsuya Kakihara as Taketo, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Rai Nagamori and Tasuku Hatanaka as Soichi Tanuma.
