Tim Tebow's time is valuable. He's an NFL quarterback, an advertising agent's dream and the head of his own charitable foundation.

That's exactly why one Florida couple had to drop $100,000 just to get a day with him.

The unnamed couple bid $100,000 on a day with Tebow during the live auction on Friday night to kick off the Tim Tebow Celebrity Golf Classic, which raises money for the Tim Tebow Foundation.

It was very humbling, and you don't necessarily feel worthy, Tebow said Saturday after the golf tournament's conclusion at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. That day I feel like I've got to do a few extra things to be special, you know? I've got to try to be a little bit better.

The couple who won the day with Tebow plan on using their time with the superstar to work with underprivileged children near their home in the Florida Keys, according to a spokesman for the foundation.

Tebow and the foundation were initially shocked by the bid, and even a bit skeptical.

They live in a part of town that has a lot of people in need and a lot of people with a lot of wealth, and she felt like bringing Timmy to her town down there would maybe change the town, said Erik Dellenback, the executive director of Tebow's foundation. It sounds like she's going to have a little event where she brings over some of the kids who are in need and some of the kids who are pretty deserving.

I got goose bumps thinking about it because that's what the night was. You thought (the bid) was for one reason -- which you worry (because) you think, 'Why is somebody paying $100,000?' -- and then you found out what their motives are and you're just blown away by how God had moved in the room at the time, he said.
