Tom Cruise gave a huge surprise to the moviegoers in the U.K. who were lucky enough to catch the preview screening of Christopher Nolan’s latest movie “Tenet.” The actor went to see the movie in a London theater and shared a video of how people reacted to Nolan’s espionage thriller.

The 58-year-old Hollywood star shared a personal update on his official Twitter account. In the video he uploaded on social media, he can be seen taking a car to see the film in London. The 34-second clip also showed the “Mission Impossible: Fallout” star waving to his fans who recognized him even if he wore a mask.

“How does that happen? I am wearing a mask,” Cruise said in the video.

Later in the video, the actor was seen stepping out of his car and standing in front of a huge poster of “Tenet” as he made his way inside the theater.

“Here we are. Back to the movies,” Cruise said while posing in front of the poster.

The clip then showed the Hollywood A-lister sitting in the movie theater while still wearing his mask. The theater erupted in applause when the movie ended and Cruise told his fellow moviegoers that it felt great “to be back in a movie theater.”

At the very end of the video, a moviegoer asked Cruise if he liked the movie or not. The actor replied, “I loved it. I loved it.”

The “Edge Of Tomorrow” star is in the U.K. to continue filming the upcoming “Mission Impossible” movie amid the global health crisis. The actor was recently seen doing a breathtaking bike stunt in Oxfordshire, London. The photos of him doing the stunt went viral on social media and fans were pretty excited to see the things that the movie has in store for them.

Meanwhile, critics have already announced their verdict on Nolan’s “Tenet.” The film currently holds a score of 83% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.

The film stars John David Washington in the lead role and the cast includes Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Clemence Poesy, Himesh Patel, and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.

“Tenet” is scheduled to hit the theaters on Sept. 3.
