Tommie first announced she was leaving the show in May, revealing that the reality television has brought too much drama in her life and it was time to “bow out gracefully.”

At the time, the star took to Instagram Live to express her frustration with the VH1 series and explain the type of trouble it has caused her. Since her appearance on the show, Tommie explained that she has been arrested and as a result was forced to use $5,000 of her own money for bail.

“To everybody that’s been watching me, to everyone that love the kid and all of that, I will not be continuing on to the next season,” she said on Instagram Live at the time.

Although it is unknown what her issue with Young may be, Tommie’s announcement that she plans to leave the show came shortly after an episode aired which featured Karen King, better known as KK, speaking about Tommie’s relationship with her mother and criticizing their excessive drinking.

After seeing the episode, Tommie went on Instagram Live and revealed that she felt as if KK was being a hypocrite for slamming her and her mother’s alcohol consumption even though KK frequently indulges with them when they get together to drink.

The reality star admitted that she was bothered by KK’s remarks seeing as she considered her to be family. Tommie met KK while she was dating her son Scrapp Deleon. After the couple split, the two remained close and Tommie has sought advice from the woman on several occasion throughout her time on the series.

Tommie previously revealed that she hopes leaving the show will change her life for the better rather than the constant negativity that she receives when around her cast mates. Shortly after her announcement to quit, Tommie shared a video of herself in a car.
