Trae Young’s net worth is at least $5 million. He is set to get bigger paychecks in the next three years as part of his rookie deal.

The Atlanta Hawks traded for Trae Young in the NBA draft two years ago. He has been sensational since, displaying the poise of a veteran and showing off his all-around offensive arsenal featuring limitless range similar to Steph Curry’s ability.

The Hawks signed Young to a max rookie deal worth at least $15 million for his first three years in the league. This may be a lot of money for some, especially for youngsters in the NBA, but Young knows his priorities well. CNBC reports that he was given a credit card in high school by his father but never really used it that much. Rayford Young, Trae’s father, has been talking to him about players going bankrupt and it was something the NBA star vows never to happen to him.

What makes it more remarkable for the Hawks sophomore is that he also helps out when he can. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the sweet-shooting guard’s foundation donated $10,000 to non-profit organization called RIP Medical. This donation then cancelled over a million worth of medical debt in Atlanta as a result.

Rayford Young is nothing but proud of his son who never forgets where he came from. “He understands everyone is not in a position he's in," he added in an interview.

His productions this season have caught the eye of experts. Ice Trae has been averaging 23.4 points per game, built on career-highs in field goal and three-point connection. His career average on points per game was 19.5.

On the other hand, the Hawks sit outside the playoff race with only 11 wins to show. Barring any miracle this season for the Hawks, it looks like they are lottery bound in the offseason. Despite the dismal showing of the team as a whole, Young still flashes moments of brilliance here and there.

Young has been voted as an All-Star starter for the Eastern Conference. He joins Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Pascal Siakam and Kemba Walker. The player he was traded for, Luka Doncic, was also named a starter for the Western Conference All-Stars. Doncic joins LeBron James, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Kawhi Leonard.

The future remains bright for Young and if his team gets him the help he needed, it will not be long before the Hawks enter the playoff picture again in the future. Ice Trae’s skill is perfect for the modern NBA and players like him can command salaries that fit superstars in the league.
