  • West Brom is ready to swoop in to acquire Trevoh Chabolah
  • Chebolah's impending exit raises the number of departing Blues to seven
  • Chebolah is seen as a valuable asset if West Brom secures a permanent deal

Several players are expected to leave Stamford Bridge as Thomas Tuchel tries to come up with an optimal roster next season.

Olivier Giroud is all set to move to AC Milan, but it appears he may not be the only one.

Trevoh Chalobah seems to be the next one with reports that West Brom Albion FC is in discussions for the 22-year-old player.

The English defender has spent the last couple of years on loan, the last of which was with FC Lorient.

Since joining the Blues in 2018, Chabolah has been through three loan spells.

Tuchel has reportedly placed Chabolah on the transfer list to offload him. Hence, a move to West Brom would make sense although there was no mention of how much the Blues are seeking for the 22-year-old midfielder.

However, his impending exit means another Academy player would be leaving Stamford Bridge.

Considering he hardly got the chance to show his skills in a Chelsea uniform, the move could work to his advantage.

The exit of Chabolah and Giroud from the Blues would hike the number of players leaving to seven--excluding those who left due to expired contracts.

Others who have gone include Victor Moses, Luke McCormick and Fikayo Tomori.

Chabolah had three good seasons out on loan to Ipswich Town and Huddersfield Town as well as Lorient.

Despite those showings, it appears the effort was not enough to place him in consideration with the Blues.

The former England Under-21 international has three years left in his current pact with Chelsea.

As for Giroud, the latest update from Goal is that both AC Milan and Chelsea have gotten closer to a deal. He is set to sign a new two-year deal with his new club.

It is no secret that Giroud has made it clear that he wanted out of west London. With his playing time dwindling, it was evident that the French national needed to look for another team who could put his talent to good use.

AC Milan paid £860,000 ($1.2 million) upfront to acquire the 34-year-old.

Aside from that, I Rossoneri is set to pay another £860,000 ($1.2 million) next year as an add-on.
