KEY POINTS

  • Alexandre Lacazette may leave Arsenal as early as January
  • West Ham could be a better landing spot for the overlooked French forward
  • A chance to win a championship may intrigue Lacazette to leave

Alexandre Lacazette’s future at the Emirates Stadium appears to be dwindling.

The French national is in the final year of his deal with the Gunners, and there are a lot of teams waiting in the wings to try and lure him to their side.

The latest team linked to the 30-year-old player is West Ham United, a club that is thriving under the watch of David Moyes.

West Ham is reportedly joining the race for the services of the French footballer, joining the likes of Crystal Palace and Juventus.

But all this depends if Arsenal has no plans to try and retain Lacazette once his deal runs out after this season, 90min reported.

Contract talks have reportedly been held between Alexandre Lacazette and Arsenal, but it appears nothing has come close to being agreed on.

Hence, Lacazette could be exiting Arsenal as early as January if no deal is struck.

Aside from the teams mentioned, a possible move to Atletico Madrid or even a return to Olympique Lyonnais is on the table.

But of all the teams interested in Lacazette, a move to West Ham looms as the most intriguing. He could be a reliable backup to Antonio.

Juventus would also be an intriguing landing spot for Lacazette, a place where he can finally win some silverware.

The Frenchman has yet to taste a championship since joining the Gunners in 2017.
