KEY POINTS

  • Juventus may push for Pogba next summer transfer window
  • Ronaldo may hold the key to keeping Pogba at Old Trafford
  • Juventus is leaning on the relationship with Pogba's agent to facilitate the transfer

Manchester United can heave a sigh of relief for now as far as Paul Pogba is concerned.

However, the Red Devils may be in for an even tougher battle in the next transfer window.

It is no secret that there are teams interested in the French footballer. Juventus, Pogba’s former team, is at the top of the list and reports claim that Bianconeri will push for a deal for the 28-year-old France national.

In a report from Tuttoweb, Juventus is aware that getting a deal done for Pogba will not be easy.

However, Juve is banking on a different approach to hopefully secure the French midfielder.

This is about the relationship Juventus has with Pogba’s agent Mina Raiola. Both have smooth ties, and proof of this is the switch of Moise Kean to the Old Lady during the transfer window.

Juventus is just one of several teams expected to try and pluck Pogba from Manchester United. His contract runs out next summer and there is no telling if the Red Devils will try to negotiate something.

Pogba is the latest player to be placed in focus following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Unless the Portuguese forward intervenes and finds a way to convince the French player to stay, the days of Pogba at Old Trafford may be coming to an end.

The French player has had his share of adversity. He recently came under fire for an alleged foul on Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton.

Fans of the Wolves branded him as a cheat, but Pogba negated all that when he made a classy gesture. T

he French national gifted his shirt to one of the home team’s fans and drew applause from the appreciative crowd.

Also, Pogba’s fate may depend on the future of another French player–Kylian Mbappe. There are suggestions he may push for a move to Real Madrid, something that stems from the coming of Ronaldo.

Hence, keeping Pogba and Mbappe could all depend on how Ronaldo can convince both to stay at Old Trafford.

It is also likely to depend on how they can all co-exist in the coming season.
