  • Manchester City may consider a swap involving Bernardo Silva and Joao Felix
  • Felix will cost Manchester City $208,510 a week if they close a deal
  • Silva and others are rumored to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer

Manchester City has long pursued Portuguese player Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid, and it appears they are considering an odd way to do it.

Reports have come out that the Sky Blues may resort to an unusual way to land the Portuguese star, a deal that would involve Bernardo Silva.

The potential deal comes from Eurosport even though the Citizens have not been known to swapping players.

But seeing that they have failed to snag Felix in the past, this could be a rare occasion for them to finally land the 21-year-old football player.

Manchester City had hoped to land Felix when he moved from Benfica to Atletico Madrid in 2019.

Regardless, the Sky Blues have kept tabs on the young forward and there is a chance they may move in again to acquire him.

The name of Silva has surfaced not long after word got out that the Spanish giants have expressed interest in the 26-year-old player.

The midfielder is reportedly contemplating a move to La Liga, and it seems Manchester City is willing to oblige for as long as they get a good offer.

With that in mind, Silva is one of several players believed to be leaving the Etihad Stadium.

Head coach Pep Guardiola will have to overhaul his attacking options, a reason why dangling Silva in a potential swap with Felix makes plenty of sense.

Aside from Silva, other players who have drawn interest from other teams include Gabriel De Jesus and Raheem Sterling.

De Jesus is linked to a possible move to Tottenham and Juventus. Sterling, on the other hand, has yet to renew his deal with the Citizens.

Felix has made a good account of himself. He has amassed 10 goals since the Colchoneros’ title-winning campaign, the fourth most for the team.

The Portuguese forward has shown potential, and playing under Guardiola can only make him better.

However, a possible Felix arrival will come at a cost. He is paid £148, 000 ($208,510) per week.

He looms as a good investment, but this is on the premise that he can flourish at the Etihad Stadium.
