  • Real Madrid open to loaning Reinier for his development
  • Bayern Leverkusen is best place for Reinier to hone his skills
  • Reinier could fill in void for Leverkusen if Havertz deal to Chelsea pushes through

Bayern Leverkusen is aware that they may eventually lose Kai Havertz in the summer. Die Werkself seems resigned to the idea and will need to find a suitable replacement soon. Aware of this predicament, Real Madrid is pitching 18-year-old Reinier Jesus Carvalho if Leverkusen is interested.

According to Diario AS, talks have started between Real and Leverkusen on the Brazilian Wonderkid about a potential loan deal. Aside from Die Werkself, Real Valladolid is another club also interested in the 18-year-old player.

Zinedine Zidane is reportedly open to the idea of offering Reinier to interested teams so he can gain experience. For Leverkusen, it could be worth considering, especially if the celebrated Havertz move to Chelsea falls through in the next transfer window.

Reinier has all the making of a promising future star. He was one of the players that helped Flamengo win the domestic title in Brazil in 2019. He was also a member of the successful Copa Libertadores-winning squad.

He moved to Madrid in January 2020, getting his share of chances to play in the first-team. He made three appearances for the Castilla side, registering two goals and an assist.

Bayern Leverkusen is seen as the perfect place for Reinier to develop further. He could see action at the Europa League with Die Werkself assured of a spot for finishing fifth in the table. If a deal fails to push through, there is a chance that Reinier could end up joining Valladolid. Cristiano Ronaldo owns a majority stake of Pucela.

As of this writing, there is nothing definite on whether Leverkusen will end up getting Reinier. The attention right now is on Havertz, someone who seems well on his way to Stamford Bridge.

Havertz appears fascinated with Chelsea's plans. Winning the Champions League was previously suggested as something that could seal. However, the 21-year-old prefers to look at the bigger picture of the Blues. With Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech already on board, Havertz could be a missing piece that Frank Lampard needs.

The last update on Havertz is that Chelsea technical adviser Petr Cech is headed to Germany next week to talk to Leverkusen officials. Die Werkself is seeking $88 million for the German attacking midfielder.
