  • "No Jumper's" host confirmed they received a letter, but Chase maintains that she never got one

Tristan Thompson has taken legal action against the podcast “No Jumper” and an Instagram model who claimed on the show last month that she and the NBA player hooked up in January.

The Boston Celtics star has fired back after Sydney Chase claimed that they had a fling since he reunited with girlfriend Khloe Kardashian by having his lawyer, Marty Singer, send her and the podcast cease-and-desist letters, Page Six reported. However, Chase told the outlet that she never received a cease-and-desist from Thompson.

The letter allegedly stated that Chase made "numerous false and defamatory statements" about Thompson on the podcast, per Page Six.

"It is obvious that you are a liar," the letter to Chase read. "Your claim that you had a relationship with Mr. Thompson is pure fiction. The purported texts you claim exist are equally fictitious, and they put words in my client’s mouth that he never said that are contrary to his thoughts and feelings. This is defamatory."

The Instagram model was also ordered to provide any texts she allegedly received from Thompson for review as they can be "manipulated and faked."

"We are confident that any texts you may claim to have would not withstand such scrutiny. The truth would be revealed – that your story about my client is fabricated," the letter continued. "Of course, we doubt you will allow us to review any purported texts since our examination of the texts would confirm that they are a shame."

In an Instagram Live from April 8 unearthed by Daily Mail, Chase read aloud text messages she allegedly received from Thompson, including one in which the NBA star reportedly told her she was his type and not Kardashian.

Since her interview, Chase has doubled down on her claims that she slept with Thompson and claimed that he has gotten in touch with her following that episode. But she also apologized for saying in the interview that Thompson was uncircumcised and had "a peek-a-boo" penis.

"In this interview, I was asked a question by my friend Hayden [Reilly] which I answered honestly. However, I did disclose personal information about Tristan which I do apologize for because that's not OK and I shouldn't have done that," Chase explained in a video uploaded on TikTok in April.

Adam John Grandmaison, host of "No Jumper," confirmed to Page Six that they took down the episode with Chase's interview and re-uploaded an edited version because they received a cease-and-desist order from Thompson's legal counsel.

"Yeah, we got a cease-and-desist and deleted it. Honestly, I wouldn’t have posted it in the first place if I knew it was going to mess up a relationship," Grandmaison said. "I try to avoid the ‘exposing’-style interviews these days."

Thompson's lawyer slammed the show in the letter, saying, "You recklessly allowed Ms. Chase to make outlandish false statements about my client on the podcast without seeking to verify her claims in any way," according to the outlet.
