One person is dead while five others are injured, including a 7-year-old girl after an unidentified gunman open fired at a party in Tulare County, California late Wednesday.

The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. in an apartment complex across a skate park at Tulare Avenue and I Street,

A witness told Visalia Times Delta there was a “celebration of life” at the apartment when a gunman walked straight to the gathering and fired multiple rounds.

Six people were shot, including a 23-year-old male who died at the scene, while a 7-year-old girl suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

She was transported to Valley Children's Hospital in serious condition, the outlet added.

Three of the victims – two males and one female – were treated at Kaweah Delta Medical Center and Tulare Adventist Health. Another female victim who was grazed by a bullet refused to go to the hospital.

The condition of the victims is still unknown, while little is known about the “solo suspect shooter,” said ABC News, citing a statement from Tulare Police Sergeant Edward Hinojosa.

Hinojosa is also looking at an angle that the shooting may be gang-related but is still unsure of any victim affiliations.

Around 50-60 people were in the party, according to ABC News.
