A video of White House adviser Jared Kushner speaking hit the internet on Monday and people went wild on Twitter over hearing the sound of his voice. The husband of President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, has typically avoided public speaking, taking a more behind the scenes approach to his official role.

So when Kushner addressed leaders gathered in the nation's capital for the first American Technology Council meeting, bringing together leading names in technology to plan how to innovate government technology, many people heard Kushner's voice for the first time.

Twitter users have described Kushner's voice as "annoying" and "high-pitched," with reactions ranging from comparing his voice to a cartoon to that of a boy speaking at his Bar Mitzvah.

Kushner has been an active figure in the president's political circle since the election. An alumnus of Harvard University and later New York University School of Law, Kushner married Ivanka Trump in 2009.

He became one of her father’s confidantes and election aides in 2015 when Trump announced his plans to run for president. He is currently the Director of the Office of American Innovation, an office created by Trump and his administration.
