  • Twitter users named Chris Pratt as the worst Chris in Hollywood
  • Robert Downey Jr. and more celebrities slammed for defending Chris Pratt
  • Netizens said Brie Larson did not receive the same support when she was criticized online

Social media users had a lot to say about the cast of “Avengers” who came out and defended Chris Pratt after the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star was named the worst Chris in Hollywood.

It all started when a Twitter user named Amy Berg tweeted pictures of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, and Chris Pine on the micro-blogging platform and captioned the post, "One has to go."

Responders bashed Pratt for his conservative political beliefs and called him the "worst Chris." As a result, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, and director James Gunn came in Pratt's support and pointed out how amazing the actor is in real life.

The netizens did not like how the stars of the popular franchise defended the "Jurassic World" star but did not step in when stars like Brie Larson, Tessa Thompson, and Anthony Mackie were being bullied by the trolls on social media.

Netizens slammed Downey Jr. and the rest for taking sides and called them out for allegedly being hypocrites.

One user wondered what the MCU actors were doing when Larson was being ripped apart on social media and was receiving multiple death threats from online trolls.

“What was the MCU cast doing when Brie Larson was getting hundreds of death threats a day from loser incels,” the user wrote.

Another user posted screenshots of Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr.’s social media posts in which they defended Pratt and said that they never posted anything when Larson and Mackie were getting unnecessary hate every day.

“Okay, but where was this when Brie Larson and Anthony Mackie were constantly getting teared down and getting unnecessary hate every day? This doesn’t make sense at all,” the user wrote.

“I cannot believe people are defending Chris Pratt. Where was all this energy when Elizabeth Olsen was bullied off Instagram and Brie Larson was harassed with sexist and misogynistic comments,” another added.

Similarly, one user shared her thoughts on the matter and noted that no one came out when other stars like Zendaya, Chadwick Boseman, and other stars were being “dragged down” for their Marvel roles, but Pratt lost a poll and the whole “Avengers” unit came to support him.

“So when Zendaya, Chadwick [Boseman], Anthony Mackie + Brie Larson were getting dragged through the mud for their MCU roles, it was crickets from the Avengers assemble hive. But when Chris Pratt is being called out for being a Trump supporter, here comes the defense squad,” @thejaanico stated.

Many applauded Don Cheadle, who portrays War Machine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, for being the only actor who supported Larson and Mackie when they were being attacked online.

“Don Cheadle is the only MCU actor who defended Brie Larson and stood for her. He’s a king,” a netizen noted.

For the uninitiated, Larson received backlash for saying things about equality and feminism while Thompson, a multi-racial woman, had to face online criticisms when she was cast as Valkyrie, who originally appeared in the comics as white with blonde hair.
