UFC great Ronda Rousey has dominated the different arenas she has stepped foot on for her already illustrious career. She started as the unstoppable force in the octagon where she kicked off her mixed martial arts career by winning 12 straight matches. She would defeat her opponents in convincing fashion elevating her as one of the more prominent athletes in the world.

She would then make the transition to the WWE, spearheading into success upon her debut. She started with guest appearances, notably during Wrestlemania 31 where she and The Rock tossed Stephanie McMahon and Triple H out of the ring in a promo. This caused much stir, teasing the WWE Universe of a potential stint in professional wrestling.

This would spark Rousey to enter the Raw roster and take over as one of the strongest forces in the women’s division. She would eventually win the Raw Women’s Championship while donning the name Ronda Rowdy Rousey – a nod to Rowdy Roddy Piper. Her reign as Raw Women’s champion ended with an impressive 231 days on top.

While she’s been out of the ring since 2019, she was recently spotted at the WWE headquarters. She bumped into fellow UFC athlete, Cain Velasquez who happened to be in the office as well. Velasquez posted took to Twitter and shared their photo together.

“Had the pleasure of running into the pioneer that definitely also inspired my interest in the sport,” Velasquez tweeted.

Velasquez was also one of the UFC fighters who have made an appearance to the squared circle of the WWE. He was in a pay per view fight with former UFC Champion Brock Lesnar. The two have had bouts in the octagon where Velasquez has beaten Lesnar via TKO.

The two recently met in a heated match inside WWE rules during the international pay per view Crown Jewel. Lesnar won their matchup as he applied the kimura lock on Velasquez, forcing him to tap out.

While no formal announcements have been announced yet, it will be interesting to see how these UFC icons perform with a WWE return.
