  • Michael Bisping bares he got a $500,000 offer to fight Jake Paul last year
  • Bisping is still open to fighting Paul but under one condition
  • The 43-year-old is confident about easily knocking out "The Problem Child"

Jake Paul continues to get linked with an array of big-name fighters.

Last year, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping revealed that Paul reached out and offered to fight him.

According to Bisping, the said figure the YouTuber put on the table for him was $500,000.

Certain issues, including his eye condition prompted “The Count” to turn it down.

Paul then ended up booking a rematch against another former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

Discussing the subject in a recent interview with The MMA Hour, the Brit reiterated that he’ll be open to boxing Paul when he makes a return.

However, it should probably be in a place where there are no governing bodies that will make much of an issue on his eye.

As for how the fight will play out, Bisping stressed that he’ll make light work of “The Problem Child” and possibly knock him out in “two rounds.”

“My body is good, don’t worry about me,” Bisping said. “I’m coming back, Jake Paul is gonna f------ get it! [laughs]. If he wants to, I would. Stick me on an Indian reservation, two rounds. Boom, out cold!”

“Why wouldn’t I believe that?” he added. “He’s not! [a tremendous boxer], you’re talking to The Count baby! I think I can beat him, I don’t know about two rounds.”

Bisping last fought in the UFC in 2018 where he suffered a first-round KO loss to Kelvin Gastelum.

A year later, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Before mulling over a return, Bisping found new joy in commentating. He’s so happy about his new job that he wasn’t even thinking about making a comeback.

“A lot of people say to me all the time, ‘Do you miss fighting?’ And the honest answer is 'No, I don’t,’” Bisping told MMA Junkie last year.

“Of course, I do now and again, and the money was always nice,” he continued. “But I’m still involved with the sport now. I was there. I was commentating on the fights and a lot of time I get to step in the octagon – when things are back to normal – and interview the fighters. I’m a part of the show, and it’s because of commentating, and that’s why I don’t miss it. I love doing that. The compensation is great, as well, and it keeps me involved in the sport that I’m truly passionate about.”
