Paddy Pimblett continues to prove that nothing can stop him from becoming a star in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA).

England’s Pimblett has undeniably taken the UFC by storm. He is now 2-0 under the promotion’s banner, and his sensational back-to-back wins certainly say a lot about his future.

The 27-year-old has never reached round two in the UFC as he was able to relentlessly finish both his first two opponents in less than one round.

However, some may not know, but Pimblett had to overcome an extremely difficult challenge heading into his last bout.

After his UFC debut win over Luigi Vendramini at UFC Fight Night 191, Pimblett ballooned from 155 pounds to “nearly 200 pounds,” a weight that is just five pounds less than a light heavyweight MMA fighter.

According to Fitness Volt’s weight gain calculator, it would take about 432 days of consuming 2,185 surplus calories a day for a man in Pimblett’s age to gain 45 pounds.

However, “The Baddy” did it just a matter of weeks after his UFC debut in September.

Surprisingly, Pimblett managed to lose all the excess weight in time for his second UFC fight in London on March 19.

"I'm going to have to try and avoid it this time," Paddy told Daily Star Sport of his massive weight gain last month. "I think I was nearly... 195 pounds lad, I was nearly 200 pounds, but that's what happens when you go out and eat three main meals and two desserts every single night."

Inside the Octagon, the Liverpool native did not show any hint of dehydration or weakness from the weight-cut.

In fact, he even controlled his opponent on the ground, before pulling off a rear-naked choke submission finish.

Company president Dana White was so thrilled about Pimblett’s rise to stardom that he hinted a UFC Fight Night main event could be next for the lightweight breakout star.

“On my Instagram, I posted the faceoffs yesterday for the heavyweight fight [of UFC London Aspinall vs. Volkov]. That did 120,000 views,” White told reporters in his UFC London post-fight presser. “Paddy’s faceoff did 1.3 million.”

“So all the talk going into the fight about his walkout and all this s---, listen, it’s real,” he continued. “This kid’s got a ton of hype behind him, and tonight, he showed everybody that he’s the real deal. I don’t know. I mean, his numbers say yes. He could headline a Fight Night.”
