WWE superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirmed that he is already “shaping up” to be part of UFC’s special event.

Just recently, UFC president Dana White announced that fan-favorite welterweights Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal will headline the upcoming UFC 244 pay-per-view at Madison Square Garden. The fight will be for UFC’s first ever “BMF Title,” which stands for “Baddest M----F-----.”

However, White made it clear at the UFC 242 post-fight presser on Saturday that the BMF title will not be like a standard championship nor will it be defended after Nov. 2.

“It’s a one-and-done,” White said when asked to elaborate on the future of the title. “Whoever wins, wins the belt and claims the title. ‘BMF’,” White clarified.

Shortly after the fight was confirmed, Masvidal sent a message to The Rock, asking him if he would present the BMF title to him should he win the fight.

Surprisingly, The Rock responded and agreed to Masvidal’s proposal. According to The Rock, he will put the belt around Masvidal’s waist and he is already getting shape to take part in UFC’s special event.

"Doing all I can to make this fight. If I can and you win, I’ll put the belt around your waist at MSG - consider it done. Already shaping up to be one of the biggest and most electrifying fights in UFC history. Can’t wait," Johnson wrote.

The Rock’s statement will surely generate talks of him finally making a UFC appearance or making his UFC debut.

The UFC, on the other hand, has had a reputation for convincing WWE stars to move to them. It will be remembered that UFC was successful in signing Brock Lesnar and CM Punk in the past.

Despite knowing that the title sounds like a bizarre idea, White still respects the fight and even said that it has a “life of its own.” The UFC boss also admitted that Diaz’s statement has convinced him enough to create the unique fight.

“Nate said in his interview this is a fight to see who’s the baddest motherf**cker in the game. He’s like, ‘That’s what this championship is.’ So alright, I’m in,” White admitted.

White revealed that the UFC initially offered UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman a fight but he didn’t want to. As a result, the promotion came up with a last minute idea and it turned out to be a success.

“That fight started to come together late last night and we got it done. We offered Usman fights and they didn’t jump on it, so we rolled and we made another fight,” White revealed.
