Novak Djokovic overcame his Grand Slam drought Sunday by capturing his fourth Wimbledon title with a straight-sets victory over Kevin Anderson.

It was a moment of redemption for the former world no. 1, who has battled through elbow problems while plummetting in the ATP rankings. The Wimbledon title was Djokovic's first Grand Slam victory since the 2016 French Open.

The attention will now shift to North America in the leadup to the final Grand Slam of the year, the U.S. Open.

According to OddsChecker.com, Djokovic is the favorite to win the U.S. Open next month. The Serb won the tournament in 2011 and 2015 and this time around he has 10/3 odds to win his third title in New York.

Djokovic is followed by two very familiar names: Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

Federer, who bowed out of the U.S. Open quarterfinals to Anderson after skipping the French Open, has 15/4 odds to win his sixth U.S. Open title.

Nadal, who won his 16th Grand Slam at Flushing Meadows in 2017, has 5/1 odds. Djokovic defeated Nadal in the semifinals of Wimbledon.

The three players have dominated men's tennis, with a combined total of 50 Grand Slam titles. Federer leads the group with 20, while Nadal has 17 and Djokovic has 13.

Nadal is currently the world No. 1 with 8,770 points. The Spaniard is followed by Federer at 8,720 points. Djokovic is currently ranked No. 21.

The road to the U.S. Open goes through several hard-court tournaments in North America. The Canadian Open runs from Aug. 3-12, while the Cincinnati Masters runs from Aug. 11-19. The Washington Open, which is part of the ATP World Tour 500 Series, will take place from July 29 to Aug. 6.

The 2018 U.S. Open begins on Aug. 29. The men's singles final takes place on Sept. 11.
