"This Is Us" star Susan Kelechi Watson has revealed her relationship status and confirmed that she is no longer engaged to fiancé Jaime Lincoln Smith.

While celebrating Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' victory in the 2020 election on her Instagram Stories Saturday, Watson, 38, revealed in one of her posts that she is currently single a year after announcing her engagement to Smith.

"And I thought becoming Single was gonna be the only eventful thing to happen to me this year #TwentyTwenty," she wrote.

In September 2019, Watson shared a photo of herself wearing an oval sapphire and diamond ring as she announced that she was engaged on Instagram.

"Forever Ever," she wrote. "They’ll say its love And they’ll know its love For when they call its name it will answer to love Without hesitation."

The post has since been deleted. Smith, an actor who has appeared in "Law & Order," also removed the post about their engagement from his Instagram page.

Two months after their engagement, Watson shared some details about Smith's proposal during a guest appearance on "A Little Late With Lilly Singh." Her then-boyfriend came up with an elaborate ruse involving a cannabis festival to surprise her when he finally popped the question.

"He surprised me because he told me we were going to a cannabis festival — he wanted to throw me completely off," Watson recalled.

"He was like, ‘Yeah, it’s where we learn how to put medicinal weed in brownies, and we’ll make brownies.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, OK.’ And then he was like, ‘But you gotta look cute, though,'" she added.

According to the actress, they drove to a glasshouse church where she spotted a woman praying and there was no sign of a cannabis festival. It was when they went inside the church that she realized that Smith had tricked her.

"Then we go into the church and by the time we walked in I realized, ‘Oh wait, something’s happening.’ And your mind starts to go slow and then all of a sudden he’s down on one knee," she recalled of the proposal.

In her interview with Entertainment Tonight in November last year, Watson also expressed excitement over marrying Smith. She said she even reached out to people she knew who had tied the knot to learn more about married life.

"I'm reaching out to wise, married people. Which I think is any married person because if you've been through it, you know something that I don't know," she told ET.
